Dr. Beverly completed her medical studies at the University of the Philippines, College of Medicine, and earned her Masters in Public Health at the Harvard University. She is a fellow of the Maurice Greenberg World Fellows Program as well as of the Equity Initiative for SouthEast Asia. She has given lectures on Health System Reform in the Philippines, the Future of Global Health Procurement, and for the Southeast Asia Health System as well as the National Health Insurance for UHC. Currently, she is the Director of the Department of Health.
