Dr Joy Gayares is a licensed Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist who after passing the Physician Licensure exam embarked on a specialty training in General Psychiatry with subspecialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of the Philippines- Philippine General Hospital. She is a fellow of the Philippine Psychiatric Association, the Philippine Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of the Philippines and the Philippine College of Addiction Medicine. Having presented several of her research works in international for as a former Young Fellow of the Psychiatric Association and a Ulysses Viana Award Nominee, Dr. Joy eventually became an International Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, an International Associate of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and an International Member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. She is currently in Scheer Memorial Adventist Hospital in Banepa, Nepal as a Missionary Psychiatrist.
