Dr. Nemencio obtained his medical degree from the University of the Philippines – College of Medicine and trained in Internal Medicine and subspecialized on Endocrinology, focusing on Diabetes and Metabolism, at the Philippine General Hospital where he was given the honor of Most Outstanding Junior Consultant. He has given lectures during the 6th International Diabetes and Endocrine Conference, the 20th ASEAN Federation of Endocrine Societies Congress, the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the Asia and Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology Congress, and at the 2nd Borneo Diabetes Conference. Currently, he is the Regent of the Philippine College of Physicians, the President of the Philippine Thyroid Association, as well as Vice president of the Philippine Association for the Study of Overweight and Obesity.
