Dr. Motilla is an associate professor, registered psychologist, trainer, and a lifelong learner. He completed his AB Philosophy from Ateneo de Davao University; and MA in Economics and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University. Previously, Dr. Motilla was elected as Vice-President of the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP); and appointed as the Secretary of the UNESCO-Asia Pacific Network for International Education and Values Education and Chair of the Department of Psychology at Miriam College. Presently, he teaches part-time at Miriam College and is the consultant of the school’s wellness center. He is also the chair of the Special Interest Group in Positive Psychology of the PAP and the President of the Psychological Empowerment to Resources and Aspirations (PE.R.A., Inc.). He recently published a book entitled, Purposely Positive: 7 Guidelines on how to rebuild your life after hitting rock bottom.
